Big Data, IoT, Enterprise Data Management and the New Data Requirements of Drones and Robotic Inspection Devices
This training begins by discussing key industry/societal trends and their impacts. To realize greater benefits from Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) the two types of data within the IED, operational and non-operational, must be managed differently.

Smart Grid Technological Advancements
As electric power systems evolve toward digital, autonomous, and customer-centric operation, this course explores the technological frontiers beyond the traditional smart grid — integrating advanced ICT frameworks, big data ecosystems, and enterprise intelligence to enable a truly adaptive and interoperable energy network.

Smart ADMS - Advanced Applications, IT/OT Convergence, and Systems of system Integration
This course explores the next generation applications of Distribution Automation (DA) and Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) that enable intelligent, self-healing, and data-driven distribution networks. Participants gain in-depth understanding of how integrated digital platforms are reshaping utility operations, from real-time situational awareness to autonomous control.

Smart Distribution Management - ADMS, DERMS, Microgrids controls with case-studies and lessons learned
This course focuses on the modernization of the distribution grid through advanced monitoring, automation, and management systems. The course examines the architecture and operation of Distribution Automation (DA) schemes — including fault location, isolation, and service restoration (FLISR), feeder reconfiguration. Learners gain an integrated view of the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), which combines SCADA, DMS, and Outage Management System (OMS) functions into a unified platform for situational awareness, decision support, and optimization. There is a module to introduce the smart grid context, showing how communication networks and industry standards enable interoperability between utility systems and distributed assets.

Fundamentals of Grid Automation - Evolution of SCADA systems with the Power Grid case-studies
This introductory course provides a panoramic view of the evolution of power-system control and operation technologies — evolution of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems from telemetry-based remote terminal units (RTUs) to distributed networks of Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) embedded within digital substations.
